STaR is a daily drop-in center that provides outreach and wrap-around support services that are trauma-informed, gender responsive, and culturally relevant as part of a comprehensive system to support CSE youth and end their exploitation.
Our drop-in center is a place where young people can rest, play, heal and connect with their peers and supportive adult staff.
We are open Monday through Friday, 11AM - 5PM.
Youth that come to the STaR Center will have access to:
Life skills and self-sufficiency trainings
Recreational activities & field trips
Connections to resources and leadership opportunities
Home-cooked meals
Mentorship
Hygiene items and laundry services
A clothing closet
Peer community and support groups
Community mentors
Internships at MISSSEY and partner organizations
